In the general body meeting held in the month of November 2014 it was decided to conduct a 'Devaprasana'. As per this and as per the advice of Thiruvaranmula Thanthri Brhmasri Akkiraman Kalidasa Bhattathirippad a 'Thamboola prasna' was conducted and the remedial actions recommended were done. A well (Donation by Sri Purushothaman Nair) was made in the land adjacent to Vilakkumadam, received as donation from a devotee (Sri Sasikumar), so that water is available for all the activities .Sri A B Sivan of Arnmula Vasthu Vidyagurukulam has prepared the plan and other required sketches for the Vilakkumadam Kottaram and the Upadevatha Moorthies. As per the advice received during the Thamboola Prasnam and as per the advice of the Sthapathi the new construction also will be at the same location as per the existing measurements and materials similar to those used in the original structure are to be used for reconstruction. The Upadevath dieties are to be relocated to the back side.
To renovate and reconstruct the Vilakkumadam Kottaram, Gopuram, Anakottil, Thidappally, and Upadevatha Asthanams it is estimated to cost around Rupees Eighty Lakhs. We hope to complete the reconstruction work at the earliest with the whole hearted support and co-operation of all the devotees.
We hope to get the wood required for the reconstruction as donation from our devotees. We require Teak, Jack-fruit tree and Anjili for the reconstruction work. The Vriksha Pooja of the first teak wood tree received as donation from Sri Radhakrishnan Nair was conducted on 23rd June.
